ANYWAY!! It's later in the night and Lucas is back to larping normalcy, having carefully put all of his pieces together throughout the day and riding out the catatonia and dissociation until he's back to a more normal state of dissociation for himself. He will not be hiding with his Catholic guilt because this is a different route Lucas and he is so much more insane, but he does at least have the decency to not track other people down first. So she can stumble across him as he sits in front of the fireplace in the comfy seating section of the hotel lobby! He will nod when he sees her.]

anyway, she'll just continue draping herself onto him until he objects. she's more or less testing how much he's been rebooted. ]

I did miss your hand in mind and how easy it was. Is there no guilt, Lucas?

[IT'S GREAT. He doesn't seem to object! He is a very tactile person, hilariously; he just mostly keeps it to lil hand and arm touches and head pats.]

Okay. What are you planning to do next?

[ she's kind of worried about how fast he's bounced back even if he's still kind of zoned out in his own way. ]

What do you mean? [His head cants a bit to the side, expression curious.] I suppose I'll do what everyone else needs to do here in order to heal.

What do you think redemption means for you?

[I SUPPOSE!!!! Good for her though, as she deserves.]

...I'm still uncertain. I ought to pray again and ask for a bit of guidance, really.

[The things he thinks he needs to redeem himself for are hard things to redeem himself for.]

Does the god here really answer your prayers?

[faithkept]

They do, yes. [A little nod!] I've only prayed to them directly once before, but they did answer.

[Everyone else writing letters and sending texts and Lucas just like hold my rosary.]

They do seem diligent about their job. At least that's what I get from their letters.

What do you think of them from the one time?

[ not everyone can be as religious as you, lucas ]

[No one should be as religious as he is. That said, his smile softens and there is just such a warm look.]

It was a very reassuring experience. I wish that others could have it, but I understand that many are still very frustrated with God, so I don't know if speaking to them so directly would help.

[florescences]

I like them from my letters. They just seem very busy to me, but they've answered all my questions diligently.

[ she's fine with them but she is fine with everyone. ]

[If only more people could be that way, damn.]

I'm glad that they have. I've heard they're making a greater effort to reach out when people contact them.
