They do, yes. [A little nod!] I've only prayed to them directly once before, but they did answer.

They do seem diligent about their job. At least that's what I get from their letters.

What do you think of them from the one time?

[No one should be as religious as he is. That said, his smile softens and there is just such a warm look.]

It was a very reassuring experience. I wish that others could have it, but I understand that many are still very frustrated with God, so I don't know if speaking to them so directly would help.

I like them from my letters. They just seem very busy to me, but they've answered all my questions diligently.

Mm... That's certainly true in some cases, yes. Though I imagine it would be a little faster to pray, they also didn't say much the one time I did. Perhaps in a letter, they can be more thorough.

I think they would, yes... They were rather cute about birthdays. Apparently they've taken to giving people cupcakes on theirs.

[Lucas doesn't even pay attention to his birthday really, so he was kind of surprised when Gabriel pulled out the godcake for him. It's not like any of you chose when your birthdays were or when we were pulled into this project. I wish there was a way to celebrate that also didn't lead into all the murder.

That's true... But I wish for the same. What a terrible way for someone to remember their birthday.
