[ ah... he comes over to join her, leaning against one of the pillars and crossing his arms. (vaguely wondering as he looks at her if she's really that fucking old, because what the fuck.) ]
...Not sure what to make of it, truth be told. If it was just the heaven part, sure, but... gettin' sent back? Seems like there's gotta be a catch with that one.
If you're tryin' to win me over, that's not the word to use to do it.
[ he's not too sensitive about his appearance — it's not ideal but it has its advantages — but 'cute' still sort of rubs him the wrong way (even if his face does take on a faint pinkish tinge hearing it from her). ]
[ well since it's tuesday let's just make this go both ways. double children. he is terrifyingly even more protective of basilio at this age so it's rare to see them apart but we can say he's taking a nap right now. ]
Oi. Don't mind sharin', do you?
[ the one time he will ever in his life be able to pick apples off a tree without a ladder ]
[ oh! he blinks, a little surprised (despite my not having a kid icon with that expression and having to resort to a regular one), but takes the two apples. maybe this won't be penguindrum after all. ]
[ what a serious conversation. she sees the doubt in both the brothers reflected in different ways. she remembers what fidelio told her about whom he once supported. ]
[ it would have been horribly ironic if he had, when the bars of music on the halo behind him are the first few measures of one of her songs — not that he knows that's what they are himself. ]
[ oh! he hurries back out of the kitchen when he hears her, and... immediately flushes a little when he gets hit by that emotion despite knowing it's nothing personal. pushes that aside, it's fine. ]
Yep, sure am.
[ he waves her in and steps out of the way so she can get a good look around. it's both bigger and a lot cosier than it was when it was just the bar, it smells delicious all the time, and it's got its little stage and instrument setup off toward the back. ]
[ he looks back at it himself and smiles, his emotions fond and proud. ]
...And yeah, it's been real nice seein' people take to it as well as they have. Never expected we'd end up with Thursday night groups as big as we did. Bunch of us took turns singin' up there on the stage one week. Had a proper good time in spite of what we knew was coming.
[ the last time was not that nice because 80% of the people there were bleeding cyoa returns, but. ]
[ he'll just be on one of the tavern couches with a drink for a while after that... everything.
looks over and waves tiredly. the emotions are pretty flat and unhappy at the moment, which i guess is at least an upgrade from the seething rage of earlier. ]
I mean. The whole thing just felt dead unsatisfying. The thing what's been tormenting everyone for weeks gets to just sit there and be a cheeky brat with no real consequences?
And then the people who have things they're obligated to resolve back in their own worlds but who'd rather go someplace else for the long term, they're just out of luck because they're decent enough not to want to leave their homes in the lurch.
weekend 0, sunday
Hiii. What do you think of what they told us all?

...Not sure what to make of it, truth be told. If it was just the heaven part, sure, but... gettin' sent back? Seems like there's gotta be a catch with that one.
no subject
There could be. It's too early to tell, but if there wasn't... do you want to go back?
no subject
Don't know. Maybe. Had already sort of accepted it and tied up loose ends well enough, but.
[ shrugs. it's complicated for a lot of reasons. ]
How 'bout you?
no subject
[ maybe it's not full acceptance or full peace, but it's still incredible that he's made those strides. ]
I have at least one loose end that still needs tied. I'm sure someone else could take care of it, but I feel some responsibility.
week 1, tuesday
Is it offensive to ask to touch your ears, Fidelio?
[ sorry this is what she asks upon first seeing him. ]
no subject
...Actually is a little, yeah.
no subject
That's too bad. They're so cute, like the rest of you.

elysia looks up. her mouth opens into a small 'o' before she smiles brightly. ]
Here!
[ she holds out two apples for him. ]
There's more, if you want them.

You didn't, did you?

[ he shakes his head. ]
No.

[ i think that would be sexy and cool of you to make his halo that if he did.
elysia, however, was confident that he didn't, but she wanted to see how he'd react. ]
Did you not report her to Louis, then?

Del, are you here?
no subject
Yep, sure am.
[ he waves her in and steps out of the way so she can get a good look around. it's both bigger and a lot cosier than it was when it was just the bar, it smells delicious all the time, and it's got its little stage and instrument setup off toward the back. ]
Pretty nice, right?
no subject
[ she means it sincerely, as she glances at all the new additions. she comes back to him once she's done looking. ]
You and Basilio have made it so welcoming. It's no wonder people gather so easily here.
[ all those big tavern curfews... ]

Well. It's over.

It is. Will you tell me what you're unhappy about?

Are you one of those people, or is it someone else you're thinking of?
