It's good to be sure of yourself in at least one way, but that's a sweet and considerate thing to want to uphold. Not enough people take that kind of care. People can focus too much on differences to realize how unfair they're being.
'S just the way our whole world works. People see your tribe before anything and decide your worth based on it. If you got horns or long knife-ears they think you're worthy of power and respect and you can get away with anything, no matter how rotten you are. If you look like Bas and me, they think you aren't worth the shite beneath their shoes.
