Walk with me a little bit? You'll probably be talking to a lot of others about tonight, and it's not that I don't want to hear your thoughts on it, but I want to learn a little more about the world you lived in before coming here. Is that okay?
Not exactly. We don't know exactly what their end goal is, but I guess it would be more accurate to call them a group of terrorists who mostly operate from the shadows.
No. I was a soldier, but I'm not in service anymore, and I don't work for the Kamunabi.
[how does he explain this...]
The group—the Hishaku—stole a set of blades that could destroy the country, if they're able to activate their power. The only obstacle is that the blades are still contracted to their original wielders, and so can't be used by anyone else but them for as long as they live.
[ was he assassinated? he's here, so that means he was probably assassinated. that's what elysia's thinking. me, thinking, is this typical jan behavior? ]
The one you have now isn't it, if you said they were stolen. Were you unable to get it back?
Like I said, they operate from the shadows, so we know next to nothing about them. Their identities, hideout, etc.—let alone where to take the blades back from. [...] We... do have a means of retrieving them now, thanks to the powers of a kid who showed up recently, but he's still recovering and it's not safe for him to push himself.
... They started launching full-out attacks on the fortresses where the Kamunabi had sent us into hiding. Mine was the first, and I fled to Samura-san's to regroup with him. I died after the attack there.
That's the plan. Although I'd need to arrange to be revived somewhere else, since sending me back there will just get me killed again. Luckily, that's apparently something they can do... and it'll be as though I never died in the first place, so my contract with Kumeyuri shouldn't be broken.

Hi, Yoji. You were pretty resilient today.

Are you saying I'm not usually?

[ there's no judgment or anything else to her tone. it's just an observation. ]
no subject
... Guess I'm just made more for conflict.
[to handle it without losing his mind.]

[ to elysia, it just becomes a thing. ]
You can't always control the conflict you fall into.

uruha does not even remotely think this, unfortunately, so.]
... Sure.

she holds out her free hand to him. will he hold hands with her and walk? ]
I know you said you were in a war... and that you were rusty with your theater dancing, but what were you doing before you died?
no subject
Dealing with a criminal organization.

is he ignoring her hand? ): ]
Like the type that deals in drugs and underground deals?

They cause.... large scale destruction and death? Are you part of some police force?
[ is that why he wanted the government at the beginning of the game ]

I was one of the six swordsmen chosen by Rokuhira-san—the smith who created the blades—back during the war, along with my master.

They must be especially good at staying hidden. Was it an unfortunate accident for you, or did they manage to take you out from the shadows?
