No problem.

[Let him juuuuust...get near one of the croquet balls that are undoubtedly spread all over the place. He's supposed to make it pass through the nearest arch, right? Like golf, indeed. Akihiko swings, perhaps a tad stronger than it warranted.

And because he did it a tad stronger than it warranted, the mallet comes to life. One moment it's rigid, the next moment it's bending and trying to bite Akihiko's arm. Akihiko barely managed to dodge that, dropping the mallet to the grass]

What?!

I'm fine. It didn't get me.

[Fortunately his reflexes are pretty good, honed by both boxing and fighting Shadows. A flamingo mallet is no match for him!

Probably]

Should I have seen that coming a mile away?

It's like a fever dream.

[Yet somehow it feels very, very faintly familiar. He might have heard a tale like this somewhere, he supposes.

Nah, Akihiko, it's because of an entire game you forgot. Persona Q sure was a time]

Better don't. If the clubs are birds for some reason, there could be other surprises. The rings could jump at you, or the balls turn out to be hedgehogs.

[...are the balls hedgehogs? Maybe they really are, that's how it was in the story!]

There's plenty to look at, I guess.

[He steps away from the mallet, not bothering to tidy up after himself. The bird thing can walk by itself to wherever the mallets are supposed to go. Yeah, maybe he's a little bit pissed off at it for trying to bite him, hah]

Pretty sure I saw singing flowers, a tea cart, a huge chessboard...there are so many things it's almost too much at once.
