Before we say goodbye, there was one more thing I wanted to say to you because I don't like leaving things unsaid. You're someone I could fall in love with, Shadowheart. I do think I'm a little in love with you. [ she laughs a little. ] I don't need an answer, and I know you have something so lovely and beautiful with Richie. That's the kind of happiness I want for you.

[looks at every thread where they talked about how beautiful they are and elysia said she loved her and then looks at shadowheart so shocked pikachu face right now that it wasn't completely platonic.

she really didn't expect this, though, and that must is obvious. endgame emotion share is so helpful, but the feeling is surprise and a little uncertainty, in that the surprise of it digs up some of her own feelings of unworthiness.

but she doesn't want to be someone who doubts in others feelings, she wants this sort of beautiful sincerity to be part of her life.]

[she swallows for a moment, looking out at the ocean and then looking back at her and decides, well, it may be the last ever night. so she will lightly cup her jaw and press a kiss to her lips. just a very soft one, an acknowledgment of feelings but not an invitation for something more.

she could fall in love with her, if there was time and if the worlds aligned and if she grew comfortable enough to believe in it. and if there wasn't someone else she is already desperately hoping for time and alignment with. she doesn't know what the future holds for her with any of these bonds she's made here. there are many people she has had to say goodbye to, and it feels like it can't hurt to have one more maybe.
