wis'adel, during all this, watches quietly with one hand pressed against the glass-- as if she could reach theresa once more if she tried.]

[ there is only so much elysia can understand, but she grasps enough. theresa did something and died for something....

and... it's not often wis'adel looks like this or behaves like this. ]

[it's not something she's really thought of in the context of love, honestly-- it speaks to how caught off guard she is by the question, that she answers it at all.]

Meeting her... that's what made me realize we Sarkaz didn't have to be so miserable. She was our King, but she wasn't anything like any other Sarkaz I ever met.

She must be incredible to make you look at her like that. It seemed like she wanted a lot for you and the others who were with you. What happened... what exactly was she doing, there?

...she died, and got dragged back to life after in some fucked up ritual her brother had done. But she'd already joined the myriad souls, so she couldn't... they were linked to her.

[she didn't come back wrong, really, just. none of it was right to begin with.]

I don't get everything the hag said about that-- "Assimilated Universe", but it's where Originium is from, or something...? Where it goes? It's where the Sarkaz souls went, anyway. [sometimes you visit the afterlife. normal.] A lot of what she was doing went over my head, but whatever she did-- she freed the myriad from all being stuck in there.

[ visiting the afterlife isn't normal to elysia, but she can accept the concept easily enough for all the crazy things that have happened to her.

there's something that shifts in elysia's expression, a flash of emotion too quick to be seen, before she nods and smiles. ]

She wanted to free you of that cycle you were talking about, right? She succeeded. On another level. On many levels.

I can see why you hold her in such high regard.

I already respected her more than anyone else, way before that. Enough that I was willing to kill her to save her.

Theresa wanted that too, but she... wanted the world to be better for everyone. For everybody in it to be able to sleep peacefully at night. Making a safe place for ourselves while fucking over everyone else-- that wasn't the type of dream she ever had.

[ she laughs, but she'll be nice and leave it at that. ]

Hers is a beautiful dream. It doesn't sound easy in your world, but I know you have the determination. Your friends do, too, right?
