Ah... I died from our country's curse, which wears down the body. For a month or so up to my death, I wasn't able to do as much, physically-speaking. Certainly not enough to keep up with a classroom full of children, or to travel between orphanages as I once could.
[ elysia isn't dumb, much to my misfortune, but she's also not the smartest person ever, so it's going to take her a second to reconcile time wonkiness. time probably has very little meaning after death, but a girl still has some concepts of time even if she's been around a while and knows time can be wonky in other ways.

Umm... it's nothing I've personally experienced or anything, but there can be worlds where something happened to make branching futures. Like an alternate world or universe.
